At the end of 2021, foreign business associations, including Canada Eurasia Russia Business Association (CERBA), appealed to a number of state bodies of the Russian Federation with a proposal to amend the current legislation and simplify medical examinations for foreign employees, including for highly qualified specialists (HQS) and their families.
1. The Ministry of Health of Russia has already prepared a draft on amendments to the procedure for medical examination, which is supposed to increase the validity of medical documents from 3 to 12 months. Earlier, Canada Eurasia Russia Business Association (CERBA) has repeatedly appealed to state bodies with a request to consider the possibility of a one-time medical examination by foreign employees and their family members during the validity period of the work permit issued. Lobbying on this issue continues.
2. The list of medical organizations that have the right to conduct medical examinations of foreign citizens in Moscow has also been expanded, starting from January 21. These medical organizations include such as: JSC "Medsi Group of Companies", JSC "Medicine", JSC "European Medical Center" and others (the full list is in Russian).
