UPDATE: COVID Restrictions in Russia & CIS Countries

Dear CERBA Members and Partners,

We would like to update you on the latest information on the current COVID-19 situation in Russia and CIS countries. The epidemiological situation varies across regions: appropriate restrictive measures are implemented at the local level.  RUSSIA

Russia continues to expand the list of "approved countries" whose citizens and permanent residents can cross the borders. Recently flights have been resumed with France, the Czech Republic and Albania. In Moscow the majority of restrictions have been lifted.

 ARMENIA

Air and land borders are open for foreign citizens. The quarantine regime has been extended until the end of 2021. Almost all restrictive measures have been cancelled.

 AZERBAIJAN
Azerbaijan’s land borders are closed for entry. Air borders are open. The quarantine regime is in effect till September 1st. In September some quarantine measures will be tightened.

 BELARUS

Air borders are open for foreign citizens: recently certain requirements regarding self-isolation and vaccinated foreign nationals have been changed. Entry of foreign nationals and stateless persons via land borders is still prohibited with some exceptions. No particular coronavirus-related restrictions are implemented by the government In Belarus.

 GEORGIA
Air and land borders are open for entry: the requirements vary for vaccinated and non-vaccinated foreign citizens. Most restrictive measures have been cancelled: the curfew has been lifted.

 KAZAKHSTAN

Earlier imposed entry rules are in force in Kazakhstan: borders are open for 16 countries. The epidemiological situation is currently unstable in the country: strict quarantine measures have been introduced in Nur-Sultan and Almaty.

 KYRGYZSTAN
Kyrgyzstan’s borders are open for foreign nationals. Minimum restrictive quarantine measures are in force in the country.

 MOLDOVA

Recently the Moldovan government has made adjustments in the entry procedure. The government categorizes all countries as "green" or "red" zones for arrivals. In Chișinău most quarantine measures have been terminated.

 UKRAINE
Ukrainian borders are open for crossing. However, over the past days the government has imposed a new entry procedure for foreign citizens. The adaptive quarantine regime is in force till the end of August. All Ukrainian regions are divided in several zones according to COVID-19 spread and prevalence rate: green, yellow, orange and red.

 UZBEKISTAN
Foreign nationals are allowed to enter Uzbekistan. Persons are obliged to comply with quarantine restrictions in the country: mass events are banned, catering facilities are subject to limitations.
